The Nicole Brown/Ron Goldman Double Murder (O.J. Simpson) OK, so many feel that this is really not an unsolved mystery, but rather a mistake by the courts in not convicting O.J. Simpson, but officially it's unsolved. June of 1994 is when someone took the lives of both Nicole Brown and her then boyfriend Ron Goldman in their Los Angeles home. Though Simpson was found liable for the deaths in a related civil suit, the criminal matter remains unsolved.

Starting in 1957, Jimmy Hoffa was the Teamsters Union President. He encouraged unity among Americans in the transport sector, but hurt his own cause by using mob connections for intimidation. After going to prison for a juror bribe, Hoffa was released by President Nixon and later disappeared from Michigan's Manchus Red Fox Restaurant on his way to meet mobsters Anthony Giacalone and Anthony Provenzano. Although many mobsters claim to know who did it, or that they did it themselves DNA has not linked anyone to the crime, and it remains unsolved.

Hitting close to home in 1996, 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey was found dead in the basement of her parents Boulder, Colorado home. Eight hours prior, her mom Patsy had found a ransom note demanding $118,000 for JonBenet's safe return. No call ever came from a kidnapper. Originally most of the nation believed it was inside job that was either done by JonBenet's parents or at their will, but that was laid to rest recently when prosecutors were finally able to conclude that John and Patsy were not responsible for their daughter's murder, but that DNA points to an "unexplained third party." In June of 2006, Patsy died of ovarian cancer, just two months before the arrest of John Mark Karr, an American man who had admitted to killing JonBenet, only to have the case dropped against him two weeks later when DNA tests showed he could not have been at the crime scene. The case remains open and unsolved to this day.

Seven people in all were killed the Chicago area after taking Extra Strength Tylenol that was laced with Cyanide. The drug was removed from shelves, and Tylenol recovered, and now we have tamper proof seals. A gentleman was arrested after trying to extort Johnson & Johnson for $100,000, though he was never charged with the murders. Laurie Dann, who poisoned and shot victims in a May 1988 rampage in and around Winnetka, Illinois, was briefly considered as a suspect, but no direct connection was found. On May 19, 2011, the FBI requested DNA samples from Ted Kaczynski, known as the "Unabomber", as part of its investigation into the killings. The case remains unsolved and no suspects have been charged. A $100,000 reward, offered by Johnson & Johnson, McNeil's parent company, for the capture and conviction of the "Tylenol Killer", has never been claimed.

Between 1968 and most of 1969 San Fransisco and the whole Bay Area was terrorized by a man who called himself the Zodiac. He killed at least five people and possibly more. The case was most fascinating because of the way the killer toyed with authorities and the media, calling and reporting his crimes as well as sending encrypted letters and even crime scene evidence. Several suspects were considered and questioned, but to no avail. The Zodiac was never caught. The story continues to terrorize people to this day
