>His first instrument wasn’t a guitar, but a harmonica. He actually played one on "Love Me Do",  which he said he stole from a store in Holland.

>An actor named Mark Lindsay Chapman was supposed to play the part of John Lennon in "John and Yoko: A Love Story" (1985) (TV), but lost the part because he had the same name (Mark Chapman) as Lennon's killer. He later portrayed Lennon in "Chapter 27" (2007).

>He claimed a disdain for Beatles memorabilia, but privately sent assistants to fan conventions (including the early Beatlefests) to buy interesting or special items.

>Shortly before his death, he declared The B-52's self-titled debut album to be his favorite album of all-time.
