Odell Brewing Is Expanding In Fort Collins

First thought... More beer! Odell Brewing Co. announced today that they are planning their second expansion in the last two years. This time they'll be building a new brewhouse and expanding their current taproom.

The Fort Collins based company has no plans to distribute their product on the national level, but the popularity of the beers has caused their 50-barrel brewhouse to run at capacity 24 hours a day, six days a week to keep up with demand. That is the main reason for the expansion. The brewery will be adding a new 100-barrel brewhouse.

Craft brews continue to grow...

• Growth of the craft brewing industry in 2011 was 13 percent by volume and 15 percent by dollars
• Craft brewers sold an estimated 11.47 million barrels of beer in 2011, up from 10.1 million in 2010.
• Craft brewer retail dollar value in 2011 was estimated at $8.7 billion, up from $7.6 billion in 2010.
