New App Helps Prevent Incest

Usually when you meet someone and are attracted the last thing you worry about is whether or not that person may be your cousin, or even maybe your sister. But if things go as planned, you end up without clothes in a bed at some point... Now what happens if that was your grandma or someone else you're related to? Something to think about... Or get an app on your phone to help you prevent! 

In Iceland, a country with a population of 320,000 where most everyone is distantly related, inadvertently kissing (or whatever you do on the first date) cousins is a real risk.

But leave it to three enterprising software designers to come up with an app which tells people just how closely related they are.

Called the Book of Icelanders, it features an incest alarm activated by bumping two cell phones together. The app's motto is: “Bump in the app before you bump in the bed.”

A review of the app on Google’s Play Store gave it a 4.5 out of 5 saying “If I would have had this app last year I probably wouldn't have gone home with my cousin.”

Oh by the way, if you aren't into getting it on, the app can still be useful to you... It also has a birthday calendar to make sure you don't forget your relatives' birthdays.
