Summers across Northern Colorado include dozens of concert events, including the Friday Fest concert series in Downtown Greeley. Summer nights full of great sounds, people, food & drink; a perfect combination for the entire family.

How Long Has Downtown Greeley Been Hosting 'Friday Fest?'

Downtown Greeley's annual event goes back to the summer 2013, a year that stands out for Northern Colorado; as later in the year we'd see the destructive flooding hit the area. All these years later, the memories of the flooding fade, while the fun Friday nights to kick off more than a few weekends in Greeley, continue.

What are Greeley's Friday Fests All About?

For nine (in 2026) Friday nights during the summer, folks from Greeley and across Northern Colorado are invited to the 9th Street Plaza for Friday Fest. The music is free (6:30p - 9:30p,)  the Plaza becomes a "Go-Cup" area (6p-10p, where you can walk around with your drink,) the bars and restaurants are ready to serve, and it's just an overall great "vibe."

The History of Greeley's 9th Street Plaza

It was in the early 80s that 9th Street was converted to be a pedestrian plaza with two-way traffic; in 2003, the one way traffic pattern began. It's hard to get people to believe you that there was once two-way traffic there. It was in the spring of 1996 that Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant opened at the corner of 9th Street and 9th Avenue, on the Plaza.
