3 Colorado Towns Ranked as Some of the Most Romantic
Here in Colorado, we’ve got some of the best small towns and cities in America.
We’ve got 9 of the Top 50 best mountain towns in the United States, which honestly shouldn’t be a shock for almost anybody.
Many towns seem to take up most of the limelight here in the state, but recently, Fruita was ranked as one of the best places to live in 2024.
Our cities also are fantastic places to live, with Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, and Boulder all being ranked within the Top 25 best cities in the country.
However, Colorado also has some amazing towns that are not only good to visit, but are extremely romantic as well.
Crested Butte, Durango, and Telluride Listed as 3 of the Most Romantic Destinations in America
Colorado’s mountain towns are a fantastic spot not only for families, but for lovers as well.
Honeymoon Always compiled a huge list of the Top 175 Alternative Romantic Destinations and found that Crested Butte, Durango, and Telluride are some of the most romantic.
In terms of the rankings, Crested Butte just barely made the Top 100 at 99th, Durango ranked 72nd, and Telluride was just ahead at 64th.
To be honest, Colorado has some incredible spots, many of you’d think of as extremely romantic. While I’m not necessarily arguing with these rankings, they do feel a little bit low. Especially with neighboring states getting much more praise.
Colorado’s Neighboring States Seemed to Fare Much Better on the List
Again, Colorado has some incredibly fun and interesting towns, many of which people would consider romantic destinations.
However, pretty much all of Colorado’s neighboring states fared much better on Honeymoon Always’ list.
For one, Wyoming had more towns than Colorado, with five landing on the list. The highest ranked town was Jackson Hole at 43rd.
Utah had four towns on the list, with Escalanta ranking at 29th.
While New Mexico also had three towns on the list, Carlsbad ranked much higher than Telluride at 16th.
Finally, Arizona had five towns make the list, with Flagstaff getting a 9th place finish.
Now, with the list being about alternative destinations, I’d like to think that Colorado has a ton of obvious and popular romantic spots.
With that being said, do you agree with the list? Or do you think that Colorado has way more romantic towns than just Telluride, Crested Butte, and Durango?
