Colorado Has Some Of The Most Dangerous Casinos

However, when it comes to games of chance, gambling is by far more popular in the sense that it is so accessible.

Of course, we can gamble right on our phones now through sports betting, which feels like it has swept the nation.

However, nothing quite beats the thrill of gambling at a casino.

With the wealth of options of things you can bet on, like card games or slot machines, along with the excitement in the air makes casinos a fantastic way to spend the day (And hopefully win some cash in the process).

If you want to gamble, however, there’s a few Colorado casinos you should know about for being amongst the most dangerous in the nation.

Colorado Has 6 of the Top 100 Most Dangerous Casinos

Before we talk more about the most dangerous casinos in Colorado, it’s worth knowing that these establishments are still relatively safe and are fine places to go to.

With that being said, VegasInsider wanted to take a look at who had the most dangerous casinos in the country.

They did this by looking at the proportion of the casino’s reviews that mention safety concerns, the percentage of gun owners in the state, along with the overall crime rate of the surrounding area.

They then scored each category and gave each casino a final ‘danger score’.

As it would turn out, six Colorado casinos appear on the list. Here they are with their ranking  along with their danger score:

100. Century Casino & Hotel - 37.42
72. Black Hawk Saratoga Casino - 38.91
43. Johnny Nolon’s Casino & Hotel - 40.65
33. Lodge Casino & Hotel - 41.30
30. Ameristar Casino and Resort - 41.42
28. Colorado Grande Casino & Hotel - 42.11

Putting everything together, this means that Colorado has 6% of the most dangerous Casinos in the country.

Based on the proportion of dangerous casinos, this means Colorado is 6th overall.

What is the Most Dangerous Casino in the United States?

While Colorado has some casinos that rank highly, the most dangerous Casino in the country statistically blows all of them out of the water. 

Diamond’s Casino in Reno, Nevada came in as the most dangerous casino in the country, and it isn’t even close.

They gave it a ‘danger score’ of 82.31, which is double that of the Colorado Grande Casino & Hotel.

Its score even dwarfs that of the second most dangerous casino, Commerce Casino & Hotel in Los Angeles, California, which has a score of 57.62. 

On the other hand, the title for the safest casino in the country belongs to Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort in Hot Springs, Arkansas, with a score of 2.37.
