I realize this isn't Memphis, it's not Kansas City, and no Carolina either, but still we have some great barbecue. The thing is, we don't have just that one place where everyone goes, we have a ton of great restaurants inspired from all the places I just named. Here are my five favorites.

5. Famous Dave's - 2880 E Harmony Rd. Fort Collins

First of all, let me say, if there was a list of best cornbread, this place would be #1 with second place so far behind it wouldn't even count. The BBQ at the chain restaurant is very good too. Although they are all over the country, they have won over 600 awards, and that has to say something!

4. Rubbin' Buttz - 903 Broad St Milliken

If you blink you will miss this place, that is not to be missed, in the little town of Milliken. They make everything themselves, and aren't afraid to think out of the BBQ box a bit. I said they make everything, that includes the sauces, and although it sounds weird at first, you have to try the cherry sauce! This place is worth the trip to Milliken!

3. Dickey's - 2721 South College Ave. Fort Collins & 2331 23rd Ave. Greeley

A "fast food" BBQ joint... Brilliant! By the way, the food tastes as good or better than any other BBQ place. Plus kids eat free on Sundays, and free ice cream all the time. How can you beat it?

2. Serious Texas Bar-B-Q - 201 West 71st St. Loveland & 1820 N. College Ave. Fort Collins

THE best pulled pork ever, plus unique sauces and all sorts of other goodies, this place is for real!

1. Nordy's - 4360 St. Cloud Dr. Loveland & 151 North College Fort Collins

If it still existed Bubba's BBQ would have been on this list. Well, it kind of does. It's just in a new place and it's called Nordy's. The best ribs I have had anywhere in this whole world. If you haven't been to Nordy's, it is a Northern Colorado must!
