This weekend another batch of inductees went into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. The Faces, Guns N' Roses, Beastie Boys, and Red Hot Chili Peppers just to name a few, headlined this years inductees. But, it seems like the biggest story out of Cleveland each year a few new artists go into the Hall is who didn't get in. Because of such controversy, it seems like the luster is wearing off, and very few people even care about something that used to be a huge honor. Who do you think should be in the Rock Hall but still isn't?

Artists are eligible for the Hall 25 years after the release of their first recording. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation are in charge of coming up with the official list of candidates that the Nominating Committee considers each year. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has traditionally been vague about how artists get nominated. Rock fans have tried for years to have their voices heard in the selections, but you'll notice nowhere in the process is there room for the public's involvement. Fan petitions sent to the committee generally aren't considered. And as far as fans voting with their wallets, the Hall has continuously reiterated that record and ticket sales aren't a factor.
