I feel very fortunate to have an outlet like this to vent about whatever is on my mind. From serious issues, to jokes, and everything in between. Today it's a simple gripe... The fact that the National Football League still allows games to end in a tie. Football is probably the least sissy sport there is, and yet they allow ties. And you guessed it, ties are for sissies!

I spent most of my afternoon yesterday watching the game between the St. Louis Rams and San Fransisco 49er's only to have it end with no winner. The game ended in a 24-24 tie after no one won the game in overtime. LAME! It was the first tie in the NFL since the 2008 season.

I don't think I am alone in this way of thinking, actually I don't know if anyone likes ties! Especially not the NFC West-leading 49ers, with a chance to separate themselves against a division rival. Or the Rams, eager to snap a three-game losing streak.

Basically, the rule states that if neither team scores during the 15 minute overtime, the game ends in a tie. My question, is why even have a game clock in overtime? Give each team possession of the ball, who ever scores more points on said possession wins. If they score the same amount of points during the possession, do it again until you have a winner. Essentially college rules.

The NFL is a multibillion dollar industry, quit cheating those of us who make it that way with fake refs and ties or you'll soon end up like the NHL!
