Throwing Cigarette Butts Out of Your Car Window Should Get Your Butt Thrown in Jail

I have always been a no smoking advocate. I don't hate smokers, and I really don't care if you make the choice to smoke. I lost my grandfather too young, and one of the things he said while on his deathbed was that he felt bad for the people outside his room smoking because that's what killed him. Again though, you do your thing. One thing I can't put up with though is people throwing cigarette butts out their car window. 

Many a wildfire have been blamed on people participating in this laziness. And as we enter fire season I always like to write this reminder. Already a house fire this week in Castle Rock is being blamed on a cigarette disposed of improperly.

If you choose to smoke in your car, you also must choose to sit with the ashes and butts in your car. Not only is it a disgrace to mother nature to throw your nasty-ass liter out into the open, but you could be destroying thousands of acres of lands and even many peoples livelihoods.

I propose that if a cop catches someone throwing a butt out of their car that they are fined heavily and repeat offenders are thrown in jail. That might seem strict, but to me it needs to happen!
