Tacos Can ‘Catch’ Illegal Immigrants?

If it was a marketing ploy it was a damn good one. If it was a joke, I laughed. Whatever it was, the shirts that say "How to Catch an Illegal Immigrant" with a drawing of a box with a stick being held over two tacos - a makeshift trap at Taco Cid in West Columbia, South Carolina have generated their fair share of controversy. To me though, I think it is just fine. Here is why... 

We live in the age where racism still exists, yes, but it much less prevalent. That also means that when you make a joke about what a certain group of people do more than others, it can be funny, and not necessarily offending.

I like taking comedian Daniel Tosh's point of view. Say what you think, and it will make more people laugh than complain.

I believe people can be oversensitive a lot lately. I remember growing up and hearing the story from Eaton, Colorado about people complaining that they didn't like the mascot for the high school, the "Fightin' Red." That is when the community made it funny by suggesting new mascots such as the "Fightin' Whities" and "Eaton Beavers."

The moral of the story... Life is short, don't spend it pissed off. Laugh a little, joke a little, have some fun!
