Stop saying… I Know Right?!
Am I the only one that hates this?
Have you ever been talking to someone and telling them something that is important to you, maybe referring to something work related or some jackass who cut you off and then gave you the bird... Only to have the person you are talking to reply with, "I Know Right?!?!"
I don't know where it began or who is responsible for this atrocity in our English language, but it's probably the most annoying tick anyone could have. Especially for the repeat offenders! Either they don't have the ability to come up with a cognitive response, or they simply just can't stop doing it.
Think about the way this word is used in this context! They are saying "right" as though they are agreeing with you, as in confirmation to what you are saying. Then the tone they have while saying "right" is set in a question back to you!
OMFG!
So affirmation with a need for reaffirmation?
WTF?
It's worse than when I was in high school and everyone had to say "ssshhhyeah" like Wayne's World or "Huh yeah" from Beavis and Butthead.
Seriously. STOP.
