
State of Colorado May Do Away With Columbus Day as a Holiday
A new bill could change the October holiday into a new, less-controversial day of recognition in the state of Colorado.
According to KRDO, many Coloradans do not support celebrating Columbus, and a new bill in Colorado legislature could replace Columbus Day with 'Colorado Day,' a state holiday. [More from KRDO HERE]
Denver, however, changed Columbus Day to 'Ingidinous Peoples' Day' in 2015.
