Smoking Pot in Boulder is as American as Apple Pie

Maybe you didn't know, but Boulder, Colorado was actually founded by a chick named Mary Juana... Ok, I am kidding, but I am pretty sure that Boulder is the pot smoking capital of the United States. So if you are making an American bucket-list, you may want to add Boulder and a joint to your list. 

Maybe smoking weed isn't your thing, and quite honestly it's not mine either, but neither is eating seafood and if I go to Boston you can bet your ass that I am going to try some New England Clam Chowder.

I wouldn't have written this article a year ago because marijuana was illegal, but now that you can smoke a doobie without getting in trouble in Colorado, I feel that the town where 99.9% of the residents are pot-smoking hippies should be on a list that includes going to New Orleans and getting drunk on Bourbon Street.

Every state has their own little quirks and things that are unique to them, and Colorado maybe skiing in the minds of most, but you can do that in Utah and Montana too. Those states don't have Boulder! I just believe it's the most uniquely Colorado thing you can do.

But just as you wouldn't forget your swimsuit if you went to the beach in Florida or your camera at the Grand Canyon in Arizona, don't forget your patchouli, beads, and Dave Matthews CD when coming to Boulder!
