Shawn Gives Thanks
In this crazy thing we call life we often forget to slow down and give thanks. Over this last month many of my friends have been giving thanks on Facebook each day for something leading up to Thanksgiving. A great idea. I didn't partake, but I still wanted to let you know I have a lot to be thankful for too.
It would take me four days to lay out all the things I am thankful for, and I would probably bore you half to death. So instead of naming everything I am thankful for I thought I would highlight some of the things that bring light to my life on a daily basis.
First, my kids. Shai and Quinntyn can be hard to handle at times, but my life would be nothing without my two best buddies.
Next, my grandma. It is rare that a kid has such a great relationship with his grandmother, but I do. I promised my grandpa when he was dying I would take care of her, and I do my best, but she also has made sure I am taken care of. There is not a day we don't talk, and my life is great because she is in it.
My other family. From my dad, who is very supportive to my step mom who didn't have to do all she has for me over the years. My sisters who are always avaliable to help and my aunts and uncles who are my biggest fans. I am truly blessed to have a great family.
Finally, you. The person who takes the time to listen to my radio show, and read my blogs. This allows me to make my dreams come true everyday by doing what I love. If you didn't read or listen, I have no idea where I would be or what i would do. Thank you!
Take some time today to tell those you are thankful for how you feel. It will make them and you feel great inside.
P.S. so will lots of turkey and chocolate pie! Happy Thanksgiving!
