Queensryche – A Tale of Two Bands.

I'm sure by now,you've seen or read about the Queensryche drama. For those who have not, here is a brief summary.Last June original vocalist Geoff Tate was "fired" from his own band, he has since been replaced by former Crimson Glory singer Todd La Torre. Tate & his wife Susan who had managed the band for many years filed a lawsuit against the other members of the band.

A judge has allowed both Geoff & the ex-bandmates to use the name "Queensryche" until November 2013, where a court will decide who will keep the name. Its very confusing to fans, hell, I'm confused because as a group they have made some killer records, now I feel like I have to choose between the 2 bands & its not fair. For nearly 30 years Queensryche has been putting out music,weather it be concept records or major stage productions.Seeing them live is pretty amazing.

My old band SICK had the honor opening for them back in the day, Geoff, his wife Susan , & the crew treated us very well.They never have disappointed me... until now. When I say disappointed, what I really mean is that its sad that they couldn't work it out. Fans on both sides have valid points as to who they like more & why, some say  they're not" metal" anymore, but Queensryche always tried to be different & take chances, I respect that. I just heard the Todd La Torre demos & I just heard the Geoff Tate single, 'Cold". Both bands have elements of the old Ryche, but in the end, it's not the same...

As a fan my vote is with Geoff, he is, & will always be "the voice" of Queensryche, again, it's just my 2 cents on tale of 2 bands. Here is a list of my top  10 Queensryche songs:
