Sure, marijuana is now legal in the state of Colorado, but that doesn't mean that the government can't take action to make it tough on stoners. That is exactly what is happening in Northern Colorado, more specifically Weld County.

Weld is following in Douglas County's footsteps in trying to ban commercial marijuana operations before businesses can set up.

State officials are still trying to figure out how to regulate the new industry, and shops are not expected to open until at least January 2014, but Weld County commissioners passed a ban Wednesday on the sale, cultivation and testing of marijuana. A final vote on that ordinance is scheduled for January. The ban would impact only pot stores and commercial growing operations, not personal use of the drug.

The Colorado Department of Revenue is expected to have rules for the industry after July 1st. The Colorado Municipal League says many other cities and counties are likely to wait until then to decide on bans.

If it was up to me, I would say quit wasting your time on trying to regulate how and when people will get high. IT'S  LEGAL!!! Sell it in the gas station like cigarettes for all I care. Tax the hell out of it, bring money to the state, and quit wasting time and money on trying to be nit-picky!
