Parking Disrupted in Old Town Fort Collins Due to Water-Quality Work
As of it wasn't hard enough to find parking in Old Town, now it's going to be even more difficult for a few days.
A stretch of parking along Mountain Avenue is being blocked for a few days as workers strive to improve the quality of storm water flowing into the Poudre River.
Pavers designed to filter runoff from the street have been temporarily removed along the Mitchell Block west of Walnut Street for maintenance of a below-street filtration system.

Workers are clearing sediment that's blocking the filtration system, which should help reduce pollutants flowing into the river.
Work is expected to wrap up before the weekend.
So be patient. It'll be over soon, and the river will be cleaner because of it!
