National Donut Day – The Best Ways to Celebrate in Northern Colorado

Tomorrow (June 7th) is National Donut Day. Yes, there really is such a thing. Of course, we, and by we I mean I, probably didn’t need excuse to eat them, but it is a good excuse to celebrate them. Here are a few places to get freebies, and also I want to know who has the best donuts in Northern Colorado...
I have always said I have two weaknesses, donuts and ice cream. It’s true, and for three days out of every year I get to celebrate. There are two other donut holidays besides the one we celebrate tomorrow, the origins of which are obscure. International Jelly-Filled Donut Day is widely recognized as June 8 (occasionally as June 9). National Cream-Filled Donut Day is celebrated on September 14. And, the Christmas of donut holidays, National Donut Day, is on the first Friday of June each year.
Dunkin Donuts will give a fee donut to anyone who orders a drink. Krispy Kreme is trying to one up the competition by offering a free donut to anyone, with no purchase necessary.
Entenmann’s will try to tap into our philanthropic side by donating $1 to the Salvation Army every time someone likes their Facebook page. The company will also award free donuts to as part of a sweepstakes.
So, kick back and enjoy and then get ready for ‘I Can’t Believe How Many Donuts I Ate Day.’
Now tell us who has the best donuts in Northern Colorado...
