Man Accidentally Lights Wife On Fire While Playing With Lighter At Gas Pump

A Georgia man was playing with a lighter while he and his wife filled up their truck with gas and lit her on fire. She got third-degree burns, he got a warrant for his arrest.

And you think your husband does some stupid things!

According to Gawker, the 37-year-old man and his 30-year-old wife were pumping gas and he was playing with a lighter. (I'm pretty sure even a classroom full of four-year-olds could tell you that playing with a lighter next to a gas pump is a bad idea.)

Sure enough, a fiery explosion ensued. The man and his wife ran away but she took the brunt of the blast and was taken to a hospital with second and third degree burn all over her body. The husband had a warrant issued for his arrest and could spend up to a year in jail for reckless conduct.

I'm guessing he'll be in the doghouse a lot longer than that.

Thankfully the woman has since been released from the hospital.
