Local Breweries Win Gold Medals

Congratulations to our local breweries that received gold medals at this year's Great American Beer Festival! 

Funkwerks in Ft. Collins, took home the gold metal for their Raspberry Provincial, a Belgian-Style Fruit Beer, and Crow Hop Brewing Co. in Loveland (opened just this year) won the gold for their own Rado's Red Ale, an Irish-Style Red Ale.

Yum! I think I might have to sample those winners this weekend. Support Local Brew!

There were several more gold-metal winners from Colorado, too. Cannonball Creek Brewing Co. in Golden for it's Black IPA, Telluride Brewing Co. in Telluride for it's Face Down Brown, and Wit's End Brewing Co. in Denver won the gold for it's awesomely titled Jean-Claude Van Blond. CB & Potts Restaurant and Brewery in Highlands Ranch won for The Weasel, a German-Style beer, and Ska Brewing Co. in Durango for it's True Blonde Ale. Other Colorado Gold-Medalists include AC Golden Brewery in Golden for it's Colorado Native Amber Ale, FATE Brewing Co. in Denver for it's Laimas Kolsch, and Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant in Broomfield for it's Golden Export, a Munich-Style Helles.
