Kids Kidnapping Kids

They grow up so fast, don't they? An 11 year old boy is being held in juvenile detention after "kidnapping" a 6 year old boy. WHAT?! ... WHAT?!?!? I read this story, and I have a lot of questions...

First of all, can this really be considered a "kidnapping" ? It sounds to me like some lonely neighborhood kid was just looking for a new friend. Heh, I love this part... A quote from the article states, "I can't speak to what intention this kid had" REALLY? Gee, I wonder what kind of horrible intentions this 11 year old kid had.

Secondly, the article also mentions that the boy has been in trouble with the law before. Let me guess, he made a gun symbol with his hands? I've met my fair share of "demon children" but at that age, you punish the kid! Are we this arrest-happy these days? The charges against this kid include, (Yes, there are charges....) unlawful imprisonment and assault.

Third, and on a more serious note... Why does this story not mention the 11 year old kid's parents, even once? Sounds to me like this tiny homeless man is going around causing all kinds of trouble. Give this kid some foster care before he grows up to do some real damage!
