These headlines include, though are not limited to, events, and one big event is coming to Colorado this April with the intent of celebrating psychedelics on what is known as Bicycle Day at one of the trippiest places in the Centennial State.
Colorado + Psychedelics: What is Bicycle Day?
The event will take place on April 19, 2025, which is the date of the annual celebration of Bicycle Day. While the name doesn't necessarily give any indication that the day has anything to do with psychedelics, Bicycle Day is a holiday of sorts that does just that.

The day commemorates the anniversary of what is widely considered the first LDS trip which took place in 1943. The story goes that a Swiss chemist by the name of Dr. Albert Hofmann was the first person to try LSD after discovering the chemical and experienced the first-ever intentional acid trip on a bike ride from his laboratory to his home.
Colorado's Meow Wolf to Host Bicycle Day Event
It's only appropriate that a day celebrating psychedelics is to be held at the visually stimulating Meow Wolf in Denver.
The event will take place on April 19 and will feature a huge lineup of live entertainment including a headlining set from comedian Reggie Watts, as well as a celebratory bike ride and much more.
The event is only accessible to individuals over 21 years of age and you can find additional information at the official website here.
