America's Best Lake Towns in Colorado
As many of us get ready for the 'outdoor' months in the Centennial State, a couple of our lake towns were just named 'best in America' by Holidays.com. I don't get a lot of time for vacation, but if I did, I'd sign up for these travel ideas from Holidays.com. Once signed up, Holidays keeps dreaming up vacation ideas based on the things you love, then they send you an itinerary.
They recently published a list of America's best lake towns, which includes two stops in here in Colorado. Before we see which Colorado lakes were voted best in America, let's take a closer look at eleven of our state's lake towns deserving of such a title.

Which Lakes Were Voted Best In America?
Holidays.com selected Grand Lake (above) at 8,369 feet, and Dillon Reservoir (below) at 9,017 feet to include on the list of America's best lake towns. While we agree that both lake towns offer breathtaking views, they stand out in other ways too. During most of the year, both lakes can be pretty cold.

If America's greatest lake towns require swimming, it will be a challenge at either one of these locations. Especially at Dillon Reservoir. No swimming, scuba, or water-skiing allowed due to cold water temperatures.
