A new restaurant headed to Downtown Fort Collins, Colorado, will be giving an established restaurant some competition, when it comes to "fondue" settings.

What is Hot Pot Spot Coming to Downtown Fort Collins?

If you like a unique meal, get ready for Hot Pot Spot to open in Downtown Fort Collins in 2025. It'll be different than The Melting Pot, but alike at the same time. The location has been a couple of restaurants before; maybe this one will stick around.

Hot Pot Spot opened in 2023 in Thornton, off of Grant and 136th. It looks like a good companion restaurant to the Kung Fu Tea next door. Just two years after opening that Thornton "spot," here comes one for Fort Collins at the corner of Meldrum and Magnolia.

This corner is a great location for a trendy restaurant, as it's close to The Lincoln Center.

This location was home to The Lost Cajun for many years, before the owners of that franchised turned it into their own restaurant, Bighorn Bar & Grill in 2023. It's unclear if the Fort Collins Hot Pot Spot will be owned by them.

Hot Pot Spot is a restaurant that features tables that have inserts for your personal pot for heating/cooking the food you've chosen. You can choose from nine different meats (no seafood) and nine different broths for your Hot Pot.

The Hot Pot Spot in Thornton, is in a little strip mall, near I-25 off of Grant and 136th.

This place seems much more casual, to me, than The Melting Pot, which definitely has a "romantic" vibe. Also The Melting Pot is expensive, where The Hot Pot Spot, while not romantic and not having cheese/chocolate, won't cost and arm and a leg. Their "All You Can Eat" option runs about $34.
