Members at a South Fort Collins gym showed up on Thursday to find that they would need to make alternative plans to get in their workout for the day.

A sign posted on the door informed them that the owner of the gym and its landlord couldn't come to terms on a new lease, in spite of several months of trying to find a solution. The letter posted on the door read, "Unexpected last-minute changes from our landlord forced us into a difficult position that will require us to vacate the building."

And so, just like that, Zone Athletic Club at 2937 Council Tree Ave in South Fort Collins is gone. There are other locations down south in the Cherry Creek area and in Aurora.

But without any other NoCo locations - and assuming nobody wants to drive to Denver for a quick elliptical sesh - what are former Zone Athletic Club members to do?

Fortunately, Crunch Fitness at 2211 S. College Ave. will be honoring Zone memberships for the next three months, giving you an opportunity to sample their facility. After three months, memberships will formally be transferred to that gym instead.

Additionally, apparently Crunch Fitness is also exploring the possibility of taking over the closed Zone location to operate as a Crunch Fitness in the future.

In the meantime, members who don't want to move gyms and instead want to go find a new place to workout of their own choosing can email them to simply cancel their membership, by dropping a note to support@peakserve.com.
