4th of July Fireworks to Light Up the Sky in Loveland Once Again
4th of July celebrations across Colorado are a huge part of summer; the summer of 2026, especially. While Loveland didn't have any fireworks in 2025, the 2026 celebrations look to be a "go."
2025 Did Not See Fireworks in Loveland
In 2025, facing a $10 million shortfall in the City's General Fund because of voters eliminating a food tax, the City of Loveland canceled several events, including the annual 4th of July fireworks show. Many locals and those who visit for the holiday, were pretty upset.
Swimming Unlikely, But Big Birthdays Will be Celebrated in Loveland
While finding a way to open the Swim Beach at Lake Loveland is still in the "we need to discuss it further" stage, at least they made the call to go ahead with the fireworks. The decision makes a lot of sense as there'd be quite an uproar, considering it's America's 250th and Colorado's 150th birthdays.

I would expect, since there were no fireworks in 2025, that there will be quite a crowd for the 2026 show. The City says to expect over 10,000 people. It should be a beautiful summer Saturday there by the lake, at North Lake Park. The road construction they've been doing along Taft should be completed by then, as well, which is good news.
Scheduled Events for July 4 at North Lake Park:
- Park opens at 6:30 a.m.
- Lions Club Barbecue from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
- Food Trucks and Vendors from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
- Kids Zone from 4:00 p.m. until Dusk.
- The Norma and Lynn Hammond Amphitheater will host the Loveland Concert Band from 8:00 p.m. until Dusk.
- Fireworks (weather permitting) at 9:17 p.m.
