Colorado Springs' population is just over 500,000; that's a lot of people, cars, public transportation, businesses, all making noise. How could it land at #1 when it comes to looking at over 100 cities in the U.S. and Europe that are good for "sleeping.?"
The huge gold rush of the 1890s helped Colorado Springs to be known as the "City of Millionaires" in the early 1900s.
There are plenty of reasons for Coloradans and out-of-state tourists to visit Colorado Springs. It has the Garden of the Gods, the Air Force Academy, the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, the Manitou Incline (nearby) just to name a few. A new type of tourist will coming now, though.

The Denver Gazette and Out There Colorado reported a study done by a mattress company that put Colorado Springs at #1 out of 115 cities they researched for "Sleep Tourism."
What is Sleep Tourism and Why is Colorado Springs a Top Spot?
Consider it a wellness getaway. Spending a week away from home, in a cozy space, catching up on needed sleep. Again I ask, "Colorado Springs? Really?"
