Wendy's is one of the most beloved fast food chains in Colorado. Despite its popularity, many locations will be shutting down across the nation. According to USA Today, around 300 Wendy's locations are going to be closing nationwide.

Wendy’s CEO Confirms Hundreds of Store Closures

USA Today listened to a quarterly earnings call from the company, and their CEO announced that the burger chain will close from 240 to 360 stores. This call happened on November 7. Delish says that Wendy's will be closing five percent of their locations. Wendy's currently has 6,000 locations around the country.

Why Wendy’s Is Closing Locations Nationwide

Delish says that Wendy's will look at locations that are underperforming and that will be the determining factor of which locations will be closed. They also noted that the stock for the company is down 50 percent compared to last year.

Wendy's, nor any of our sources, has announced which locations will close. This is the beginning of the process for Wendy's. There are over 100 locations in Colorado.

Just last year, Wendy's shut down 140 locations nationwide. It seems like the company will continue to close more locations until they are more profitable as a company.

I go to the Wendy's location in Windsor quite often. I have noticed that there are more promotions for cheaper menu items. I personally enjoy their biggie bag with a junior bacon cheeseburger, a few nuggets, fries, and a small soda.
