Colorado Coffee Shop Offering $2 Drinks for Speeding Tickets
Getting a speeding ticket is never any fun. Getting a speeding ticket worth hundreds of dollars is even worse. Kersey Issued Nearly 40,000 Citations
Since its implementation in May, the town of Kersey has issued nearly 40,000 photo radar citations, and drivers have paid over $400,000 in fines from a stretch of road on County Road 49 approaching Highway 34. This area of road reduces the speed limit from 65 mph to 45 mph in less than a quarter of a mile.

These speeding tickets should have been capped at a fine no higher than $40, or $80 in school or construction zones, instead drivers were receiving citations with a $340 fine. One driver told 9 News they have received six tickets at $340 each time.
