Another Round of Layoffs Announced in Colorado
Another round of layoffs are hitting workers in the state of Colorado.
Earlier this month we shared with you the news that dozens of workers would be losing their jobs at the Amentum plant in Pueblo.

On June 5th, representatives sent out the official notification to Colorado WARN that this plant would be cutting jobs.
The project at the Pueblo Chemical Agent – Destruction Pilot Plant at the Pueblo Chemical Depot actually "completed its operations mission and will commence with closure activities," according to the official statement.

More Layoffs Coming to Amentum in Pueblo This Fall
Now, just a few weeks later, we've received notification that another batch of layoffs are set for this summer.
What Exactly is the Colorado WARN List?
Whenever a company lays off a hundred or more people, officials from within the group have to provide a sixty day notice to the workers as well as the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.

September 2025: 135 Amentum Employees to Be Laid Off in Colorado
In a recent Colorado WARN report, Amentum confirmed that there is another batch of layoffs that will hit their Pueblo plant this fall.
According to the official letter sent to Colorado WARN from corporate officials:
"Amentum, at the Pueblo Chemical Agent – Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) project on the Pueblo Chemical Depot, 45825 Hwy 96 E Pueblo, CO 81006, has completed its operations mission and will commence with closure activities."
They expect that the project will be completed in September which will reportedly require the "the elimination of positions and a reduction-in-force of PCAPP Project
employees."
Which Amentum Jobs Are Being Cut in Pueblo?
Apparently the 135 employees that will be out of the job come September 30th, 2025 have already been notified.
The majority of the layoffs at the Pueblo branch involve OPS Support Tender Crew (21 layoffs) and Plant Operator (16 layoffs).
