Real life stories are always the funniest, and even funnier when they are about people in your life. I am pretty sure my dad doesn't read most of what I write about (and I kind of hope not... AWKWARD), so I should be OK writing about him and his Candy Crush Saga addiction.

His addiction to the game was actually brought to my attention awhile back, but I was reminded of it today when I was reading an article about Candy Crush turning our kids into budding gambling addicts.

And I must admit there was a time where I felt the need to stay at least a couple levels ahead of my 75-year-old grandmother and that kept me up past my bedtime a few nights. One day it dawned on me that I could spend my time and brainwaves that I was wasting on that stupid game, on something that would benefit me. Because even though I was on level 264, I still wasn't making any money!

My dad on the other hand, had a different realization that it was time to quit the game. He would always play it on his tablet, and I mean always. There weren't a lot of times when I would be around him that he wasn't sucked into to the evil games arms. But suddenly I noticed he didn't play it at all. So naturally I asked why he quit. Well, it turns out he would play it while on the toilet, and would get so involved that he would end up sitting long after his business was done, and that would cause him to lose feeling in his legs. He clearly liked being able to walk away after taking a dump, so he dumped the game.

...Not to mention, anyone who plays with their phone, tablet, or anything for that matter, while on the pot is nasty! You wash your hands when you are done, but do you wash your toys? Didn't think so! We need to create an app that shuts your device off when your ass hits the seat. Now, that is brilliance!
