The Godfather of Shock Rock turns 67 today!

67, and still thoroughly BadAss.

Alice Cooper (and his high school band) first made it big with the 1971 hit album Love It To Death that featured the still well-known and beloved song School's Out.

Then in 1975, with the release of his legendary solo album Welcome To My Nightmare, his character-celebrity became, and has remained, a household name.

Cooper has long been considered the Godfather of Shock-Rock as he was one of the first (if not the very first)  to introduce horror-imagery to music. His experimental hard-pop-rock sound and crazy, demonic-cabaret theater stage shows transformed the genre forever.

He's paved the way for bands like KISS, Iron Maiden, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, and countless others. And after 50 years in the business... he's still ROCKING!

Happy Birthday Alice Cooper! We're not worthy.
