Officials at Denver International Airport have banned the sale of marijuana-themed merchandise.

Tourists that fly into Colorado will now have to leave the airport and drive into town if they want to purchase pot-themed t-shirts and souvenirs. Airport officials have banned the sale of any item that exhibits the image of a cannabis leaf or the word "marijuana".

Apparently, DIA authorities feel this merchandise sends the wrong message and might negatively impact our state's image.

I know that these airport administrators have Colorado's best interests at heart and they're just trying to keep us classy... but they also kinda seem like a bunch of wet blankets
