This story deserves a big old WTF!!!! I personally thought that after the Denver Broncos signed a slurry of new free agents earlier this week there was no way they would keep their stud defensive end, Elvis Dumervil. Turns out I was wrong, and then right again. Huh??? It's true, the Broncos agreed to terms with Dumervil and then ended up releasing him after a paperwork error.

The signature page from Elvis Dumervil and his agent Marty Magid that signed off on a new contract arrangement arrived on the Broncos' fax machine at 2:06 p.m. — 6 minutes and one second past the deadline to file contracts to the NFL office.

That means the Broncos had to release Dumervil to avoid guaranteeing his $12 million salary for the 2013 season.

Instead of getting into details and numbers that will make my head spin, I will just say this is a crock of sh**!!! It is 2013! Why are we still using fax machines, and why when there is $12 million on the line doesn't someone watch their watch a little better? This may be the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of.

Regardless, thanks for the memories Elvis!!
