Colorado Rock Legend, Uncle Nasty, Let Go By KBPI

There are many reasons we felt it necessary to bring a rock station to Northern Colorado. One of those reasons, Uncle Nasty. The dude is a legend in Colorado. Every afternoon rock fans across the state have relied on hearing Nasty's voice to get them home for 20 years. Yesterday, the Uncle Nasty era at KBPI came to an end. 

It was no surprise that the parent company for KBPI fired more employees, as they have done every year about this time since 2008, but it was a surprise that it was Nasty who got the boot.

The company fired quite a few afternoon personalities across the country in addition to Uncle Nasty, and also other positions including the afternoon host on KBCO, Keefer.

Nasty was offered “an insulting severance package,” but he said he said on his Facebook page "this is not the end for me, though I will miss our afternoon conversations very much, it's just change."

Did we mention there is a new rock station in Northern Colorado? Could that be the next home for the Uncle Nasty Show? Never say never....
