Colorado Nears One Million Residents Fully COVID-19 Vaccinated
Colorado is getting closer to having one million people — around one fifth of the population (5.8 million) — fully immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine. According to Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, as of Thursday, March 25, just over 900,000 Coloradans were fully vaccinated.
This count comes after Colorado began opening more mass-vaccination sites, with one in Larimer County at The Ranch. These sites administer thousands of vaccinations every day, according to Governor Polis.
Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment also shared that more Coloradans are willing to get the vaccine, as the rollout continues. Now, around four months into the vaccine rollout, the survey found that 88 percent of Coloradans now indicate that 'they would possibly be vaccinated, up from 66 percent in September.'
Colorado is now in Phase 1B.4, which includes anyone over the age of 50, more essential workers and those with health conditions. Additionally, Colorado got a new COVID Dial 3.0 this week, that loosens the state's COVID-19 restrictions.
