Colorado Has a New Child Abuse Hotline
Something kids should never have to live with or deal with is abuse and Colorado has stepped up to help the kids even more now. A hotline has been established for the state.
As The Denver Channel reported, a hotline covers the entire state and is intended to help kids that are dealing with abuse of all forms.
The hotline number is 1-844-CO-4-KIDS.
The hotline was created for tips about a child's safety and well-being. However, if you see a child in a life-threatening situation, officials said you should call 911 immediately.
If you have concerns about a child, some of the warning signs to watch for might include:
- Unexplained injuries
- Changes in behavior
- Fear of going home
- Changes in eating or sleeping patterns
- Inappropriate sexual behaviors...
Overall, child advocates say trust your instincts and that suspected abuse is reason enough to contact authorities.
Help the kids!
