For a sports fan there is no better experience than watching an all star game (unless it's in the NFL). To see the best players in the league all gather in one place is special, and today  most professional sports leagues make it incredibly special for the host city. The host city for this years ECHL All Star Game happens to be Loveland. That game takes place tonight at the Budweiser Events Center

The show got started with a skills competition last night at the Bud Center, there was also a Fan Fest featuring appearances by Colorado Eagles alumni and the Stanley Cup. The events wrap up today, Jan. 23, with an ECHL Hall of Fame Luncheon and the ECHL All-Star Game with puck drop set for 7:05 p.m. The Colorado Eagles will face a team of ECHL All-Stars, in a format borrowed from when the team hosted the 2009 CHL All-Star Game.

Lineups for both the ECHL All-Star Game and the Skills Competition can be viewed on the team’s website.

According to the team, the ECHL All-Star game has generated more than $1 million in local revenue for the game’s hosting city for the past nine years.
