Colorado Buffaloes Basketball Team Gets Screwed Hard By Refs [VIDEO]

I usually try to keep my love for the University of Colorado athletics out of my blogs and radio show because most people in Northern Colorado quite simply hate C.U. Today though, I couldn't help myself as the Buffs were royally screwed during their basketball game against the University of Arizona last night. 

Even thought the Buffs were having a great season, they were heavy underdogs as they took to the road to take on the #3 team in the country. They quickly proved that the Wildcats of Arizona weren't as powerful as everyone had told them. The Buffs even had the lead by as much as 17 at one point during the game.

Bad free throw shooting and a ferocious comeback by the Cats let them back into the game, actually tying it with only a few seconds left. That is when C.U. got their last chance and seemed to take advantage with a last second three pointer by Sabatino Chen to win the game.

But not so fast. Referees used video replay to review the shot and said no basket. Even though it seemed rather clear on my TV that the shot was good.

The Buffs went on to lose the game in overtime, and their head coach and Greeley native, Tad Boyle, was not pleased to say the least. "Get rid of instant replay," Boyle told ESPN.com in a phone interview. "In basketball, football, human error is part of our game. If human error is part of the game, let the officials call the game. Players, coaches and officials will make mistakes. It's part of the game. We spend all this money on replays and we still can't get it right. Get rid of it."

The Pac-12 stood by the officials B.S. ruling, and Coach Boyle had more to say.

"I would like an explanation," Boyle told the network. "I think the University of Colorado deserves one and the players and administration and student body and everybody involved in Buff Nation deserves an explanation. It's not going to change the result. I've never been involved in something like this."

Boyle said the Buffaloes have no choice but to move on. And they will. Now they know they are good enough to beat one of the top teams in the country, they just have to get the zebras on their side before March!
