Cheyenne Man Waives Aggravated Assault Charges
A 36-year-old Cheyenne man accused of beating his wife with an expandable baton and pulling a knife on a bouncer has waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
Zachary J. Hernandez was arrested on August 6 after police say he got into a fight with a man at the Cadillac Ranch Bar and "threatened to use a drawn knife" on a bouncer.
At the time, Hernandez was being sought on a felony warrant for an April 2 incident in which he allegedly hit his wife in the face with a "nightstick."
Hernandez remains jailed on $10,000 cash bond. If convicted of the two assaults, he could face up to 20 years in prison.
