You have long heard of the Grizzly Rose in Denver, the club that has had just about every country and legendary rock bands play on it's stage and won almost every award possible. Now it has a little brother, if you will. The all new Grizzly Rock in Lakewood is now open and hosting some legendary rock acts. Tonight 80's hit makers Cinderella, and tomorrow night a nationally known celebration of arena rock with Hairball. MAX-FM has free tickets and wants to send you to go check out both of these show!

Cinderella emerged in the mid-1980s with a series of multi-platinum albums and hit singles whose music videos received heavy MTV rotation. They were famous for being a glam metal band, but then shifted over towards a more hard rock/blues-rock sound. By the mid-1990s, the band's popularity declined severely due to personal setbacks, break-ups, and changes in music industry. Nonetheless, after a period of hiatus the band reunited and is still active at present. The band has sold 20 million albums worldwide.

Hairball impersonates hard-rock acts from the 1970s and ’80s, such as Aerosmith, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, AC/DC and Poison. The group features dual frontmen, vocalists Bobby Jensen and Kris Voxx, who take on the personas of legendary hard-rock singers. They alternate stage time, rapidly changing costumes between songs to present new characters, such as Paul Stanley and Alice Cooper, every five to 10 minutes. Guitarist Happy, bassist Shawn Pop and drummer Colt Python provide the musicianship that reproduces the distinctive sound of the genre and era. The Minnesota-based act started out as comedy but has developed into a serious endeavor to keep the music of classic arena rock bands alive.
