Northern Colorado is known for some of it's badass nightlife. From Ft. Collins to Greeley there is at least a few cool hangout joints in each town. Windsor was lacking a bit, but that is about to change. The old Duke of Windsor is now Ricky B's, and what they are doing with the place is sure to make it one of the best spots to hang out not just in Windsor, but in all of Northern Colorado.

Every time we went across the street from the radio station to the old Duke to have a beer I would think to myself that the place had so much potential, but it was always empty, kind of grungy, and the staff wasn't always very friendly. I figured it wouldn't be long before it closed down, but thank the good lord above someone saw the potential I did and is saving the place.

Ricky B himself has opened the east side of the building, which I didn't even know existed, as the bar and restaurant. The old west part of the building which was the Duke is now a venue just for music, with some big bands set to play.

To kick off what is going to be THE place in Windsor, Ricky B's is throwing a kickass grand opening party this weekend (June 14th and 15th). Friday there is a $10 cover wich gets you an all-you-can eat buffet and great music from Whiskey Dick and the Jurassicasters. I will also do my show live from Ricky B's from 5-7pm. Saturday the party continues with The Bluesdogs and The Dave Bardine Project, plus a pig roast all for $10.

We will see you in Windsor this weekend!!
