Butch’s New Tattoo – What It’s All About

Tattoos are at an all-time high in popularity, so I know its not that big of a deal that I got a new one, but there are couple reasons that I writing about this one. First, it may be the most meaningful tattoo I have ever gotten. Second, I got a new artist who is a badass, and I want to pimp him a bit. 

Looks like a bunch of squiggly lines, so what is it? Well, look a little closer and see if you can make it out... Still nothing? Ok, it's an "S" and a "Q." Now do you see it? So, what's it for you ask? Without getting all sentimental on you like I did last week, it is the initials of my kids, Shai and Quinntyn. I always knew I wanted something to represent them, but I was never sure what. This design just kind of hit me, and my artist made it happen.

Speaking of my artist, Jaime Gutierrez at the Milliken Inkhouse, was seriously amazing. I know radio DJ's get paid all the time to make endorsements about things they don't necessarily like or even use, this is not a paid endorsement. I met Jaime a few years back when he gave my good buddy Brian Gary a Twinkie tattoo after he lost a bet to me. Since then Jaime has become a friend, and I finally got in for a little work with him. Not only was his work fantastic, the setting was the most comfortable I'd experienced, and when you are getting needles jammed into you that's important. Before people start thinking I am gay for talking so highly of Jaime, I will leave it at that, but I get asked almost daily where I get my work done, and I couldn't give a higher recommendation of anyone.
