Butch Teaches You Text Messaging Etiquette [VIDEO]

I have to admit something to you... I am addicted to my phone. I cant go more than 10 or 15 minutes without looking at it to see if someone has texted me or jump on Facebook to see whats going on in the world. It's just a habit, some may call a bad one, but it doesn't hurt anyone, so whatever. But I also don't like to waste my time on my phone unless it's for good reason, so I have come up with some rules for texting. 

About a year ago I had a few texting buddies who were driving me absolutely nuts, so I kept threatening to write a book a texting etiquette... Well, I was too lazy for that, but at the time I was making these comedy videos, so instead of writing a book, I laid down the law on camera.

In case 7 minutes of staring at my ugly mug is too much for you, here are the rules in word form, rather than coming from my mouth form...

1. Always start a texting conversation with some sort of "hello"

2. End a texting conversation with some sort of good-bye

3. Don't send the same text message two times in a row

4. Don't say "hello" after I don't answer right away

5. Don't send chain message jokes

6. Smiley faces from a guy to a guy is not ok

7. Guy to girl smiley faces are used to make any text message better

8. Girl to guy smiley faces indicate the girl wants to sleep with the guy

9. Don't say "haha" or "lol" unless you are actually laughing

That's it, nine simple little rules that will make any text messaging conversation a whole lot better! Now who wants to text me??
