Butch Takes on the Insane Inflatable 5K [PICTURES]

Over the last couple of months I have done a lot of talking about the Insane Inflatable 5K. It sounded pretty awesome, but I really had no idea what to expect. However, after actually getting out and seeing it and participating in it on Saturday, I can say it is a kick in the pants! 

The event, which really is more of an hour of fun than a race, brought over 1,800 people to Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Denver on Saturday (May 31). All ages, fitness and ability levels were there.

Basically the event was a 5k run with 12 inflatable obstacles staggered throughout. However, these obstacles have to be seen to be believed. They aren't like those backyard jumpy castle things, but instead gigantic versions in all shapes and sizes.

I can honestly say that it is the most fun I have ever had doing one of these obstacle races, and I cannot wait for the event to come back to our area again soon. Like I said before, the pictures don't really do it justice, but here are a few of me on the course...
