‘Anchorman 2′ Set Robbed

Let's hope these idiots didn't set back the production of Anchorman 2. The movie is currently being filmed in Atlanta, GA. where thieves made off with more than $250,000 in equipment. More specifically, they took copper wire and 4 computers.

I'm curious about one thing in particular... Were these just people trying to rob movie sets, and just happen to hit this one? Or do they just really hate Will Ferrel movies? More importantly though, why the hell are we shooting movies in Atlanta? They aren't just on location, the entire set for this movie is in Atlanta. According to the story, Atlanta is "really trying to get big in film."

Seems like they're off to a good start! Perhaps my favorite part of this entire story is that the thieves actually set off an alarm. Why were they not caught then? Oh, well that's because an official from Paramount Worldwide cancelled it assuming it was set off by rodents in the warehouse. I'm sorry... You're PARAMOUNT! You can't afford a security guard? Or maybe even some pest control?

At first I felt bad for the crew of the movie. After reading the entire story though, why would anyone feel bad? Oh well, let's hope it's a lesson learned and Anchorman 2 releases on schedule. Hey, maybe we'll see some leaked footage?
