Here at 94.3 Loudwire, we are a bunch of dudes. We like girls, we like beer, sports, good music, and kick-ass cars and trucks. Our website was full of all of these things except for the cars. So we decided to change that. Our buddy Jeff Hill brought by his ride, a 1998 Ford F-150 Polk Audio show truck, to show off as our first ever Loudwire Rockin' Ride.

In the Spring of 1998, Polk Audio started construction on a 1998 Ford F-150 that was to become their feature show piece at the 1998 SEMA Show. Construction took nearly 4 months.

Once completed, it was Polk’s show piece for the next 18 months and was their vehicle again for SEMA duty in 1999. Jeff purchased it directly from Polk Audio in the Spring of 2000 and still looks nearly new even with 146,000 miles.

There’s 17 Polk Audio speakers in all, with 8 of them being 12” subwoofers.

The head unit and security system is Alpine, and was state of the art for 1998. Probably a little outdated by now… but Jeff prefers to keep this as close to Polk’s original touches as possible.

All 7 amplifiers are Alpine V12 units.

Packed everywhere in the vehicle is Dynamat insulation. Over 400 pounds worth. The truck has achieved 154db at Colorado altitude and 157db at sea level. No… you can’t sit in it at those levels. Done via remote. And it doesn't rattle, vibrate, or disturb your neighbors. But ya could!!!
